Welcome to Nomad Sunsets! We're a family of explorers who believe the best memories are made together. While balancing everyday life as a teacher and an engineer, we make the most of every school break, long weekend, and vacation to see more of the world—one adventure at a time.

We're Michael, Tania, and our two daughters. Together, we've traveled across four continents and are on a mission to visit all seven. Whether we're hiking through breathtaking national parks, sailing to new destinations, or discovering hidden gems, every trip reminds us that adventure doesn't require quitting your job—it just takes curiosity, planning, and a willingness to say yes. Many times we will do a luxurious escape either with the kids, or just the two of us.

One of our favorite traditions is letting fate choose our next destination. Every year, we spin a wheel, and each family member gets three chances to land on their dream trip. The winning destinations become our travel plans for the year, making every adventure a surprise and ensuring everyone has a chance to shape our family's story.

Nature has always been one of our greatest classrooms. We've explored nearly 30 U.S. National Parks, many of them from the comfort of a camper van, chasing sunrises, hiking scenic trails, and creating unforgettable family memories under the stars.

Our travels have taken us from island hopping in Hawaii to reconnecting with family and culture in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico or Peru - places that hold a special place in our hearts. Most recently, we set sail on an unforgettable Mediterranean cruise aboard the world's newest mega ship, exploring historic ports and soaking in sunsets across Europe.

Our family's roots inspire many of the places we visit. Michael is proudly Peruvian, and Tania is Dominican and Puerto Rican. We love sharing our cultures with our children while embracing new traditions and experiences around the world.
